Our client, a major employer in British Columbia, is seeking a Construction Officer to join their team. This role acts as a critical site coordinator and inspector on large-scale civil, electrical, and mechanical projects.

This is a 1 year contract with potential to extend. Travel within the province required for site visits (paid for by client). We've placed multiple applicants with this client who have stayed on for long.

What You’ll Do

Lead inspections on substations, transmission lines, and hydroelectric equipment to ensure compliance with building and safety codes.

Ensure site safety by performing Safe Work Observations and applying expert knowledge of OSH Standards and WorkSafe Regulations.

Conduct site testing, surveying, and estimating while interpreting complex engineering drawings.

Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to ensure materials,



progress, and costs meet project expectations.

Provide high-level advice on technical issues and respond to third-party inquiries as the qualified on-site representative.

What You Bring

A minimum of seven (7) years of construction experience or equivalent.

A Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology, or completion of relevant trades/apprenticeship courses.

Strong understanding of contract law and advanced knowledge of safety standards (WorkSafe/OSH).

Comfort working in diverse conditions, including adverse weather, heights, or underground environments.
