We are seeking someone to join our Finance Regulatory RPE as a Senior Data Reliability Engineering Specialist to lead critical regulatory and production management functions supporting Finance and Regulatory Reporting platforms. The role requires robust ownership of end‑to‑end delivery, operational resilience, stakeholder management and people leadership, with accountability for ensuring accurate, timely, well‑controlled regulatory outcomes across global jurisdictions. The successful candidate will operate as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders in Finance, Controllers, Technology and Risk while driving efficiency, control enhancement and strategic transformation across the platform.

What you’ll do in the role:

- Own end‑to‑end delivery of critical regulatory and reporting processes ensuring adherence to regulatory timelines, data quality standards and control requirements.
- Lead day‑to‑day production management including batch execution, incident management, root‑cause analysis and governance of reruns and remediation activities.
- Proactively identify operational risks, control gaps and systemic weaknesses, driving sustainable fixes rather than tactical workarounds.
- Partner with Finance Controllers and Regulatory teams to ensure accuracy, completeness and sign‑off readiness for filings and disclosures.
- Deliver concise executive‑level updates on issues, risks, milestones and remediation plans.
- Build strong working relationships across global teams in APAC, EMEA, UK and US and ensure effective follow‑the‑sun coverage.

- Lead mentor and develop a team of managers and senior individual contributors across locations.
- Set clear performance expectations and accountable ownership models aligned with organizational goals.
- Drive automation, process simplification and reduction of manual production activities.
- Champion adoption of observability metrics and monitoring to improve stability, predictability and transparency. What you’ll bring to the role:
- At least 6+ years of relevant experience in regulatory and production management functions.
- Hands‑on experience in Unix, SQL, Autosys and Jira.
- Familiarity with SRE principles.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills: ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to technology and business leadership.
- Hands‑on knowledge of observability tools (a plus).
- Familiarity with Python (a plus).
- Knowledge of Snowflake, Azure and Databricks (a plus). All our positions are located in Montreal, Quebec.

We offer a hybrid work environment, combining remote work and attendance in the office. Knowledge of French and English is required. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building and maintaining a workforce that is diverse in experience and background.

Our recruiting efforts reflect our strong commitment to a culture of inclusion, where individuals are hired, developed, and advanced based on their skills and talents. For more information, please visit the Morgan Stanley Equal Opportunity Employment page.
