Senior SAP ABAP Core Developer

Contract Duration: 6 months

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Core Developer to support the development, enhancement, integration, and maintenance of SAP enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of SAP ABAP development experience , strong knowledge of SAP core technologies, and a proven track record of delivering scalable and maintainable solutions across complex SAP environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, technical architects, and integration teams to design and implement ABAP solutions supporting business-critical SAP processes.

Required Experience & Qualifications

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development , with strong experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Strong expertise in ABAP programming , including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, and custom developments.
- Experience with ABAP Objects , including object-oriented programming, classes, interfaces, inheritance, and exception handling.
- Solid understanding of SAP data structures, internal tables, Open SQL, database concepts, and performance optimization .
- Experience developing and supporting RICEFW objects and custom SAP solutions.
- Hands-on experience with ABAP debugging, performance analysis, code optimization, and production issue resolution .
- Experience working with SAP integration technologies such as IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Web Services, OData, and REST-based integrations .




- Experience with SAP S/4HANA development and extensibility is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, and modern ABAP development practices .
- Experience working with SAP transports, development lifecycle processes, testing, deployment, and production support .
- Ability to analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and scalable ABAP solutions .
- Strong experience collaborating with functional consultants, solution architects, business analysts, and technical teams .
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 , particularly where ABAP services support Fiori applications.
- Experience developing OData services and integrations for SAP S/4HANA.
- Knowledge of ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and modern S/4HANA extensibility approaches.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite is an asset.
- Experience with SAP HANA database optimization , SQL performance analysis, and HANA-native development concepts.
- Knowledge of SAP Workflow, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, and enhancement frameworks .
- Experience with SAP APIs, event-driven integrations, and enterprise application integration patterns .
- Familiarity with SAP Activate, Agile delivery methodologies, and enterprise SAP transformation programs .
- Experience providing technical leadership, code reviews, mentoring, and development standards across SAP development teams.
- SAP ABAP or S/4HANA certifications are considered an asset.
