This temporary midwifery position is available from April to October 2026. Work alongside midwives and family doctors and engage in a variety of shifts catering to community needs, including 12-hour and occasional longer shifts. Your skills in communication and teamwork will be vital, as you’ll build trust with clients while assisting in protected deliveries and providing holistic care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage care during birth and postpartum periods
• Collaborate with a supportive healthcare team
• Conduct assessments at North Island Hospital




• Foster client relationships with empathy
• Support diverse maternal health needs

Requirements:
• Certified Registered Midwife
• Experience in community or rural settings
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Proven ability to connect with diverse clientele
• Enthusiasm for outdoor activities within a beautiful community
