Senior ServiceNow Integration Engineer ABOUT THE PROJECT Our client is a global life sciences organization undertaking a large-scale ServiceNow transformation across multiple regions and operating companies. As part of a global initiative to modernize and standardize IT Service Management (ITSM), the organization is implementing ServiceNow as its enterprise platform for core ITSM capabilities while expanding its IT Operations Management (ITOM) footprint.
The Senior ServiceNow Integration Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade integrations between ServiceNow and a diverse ecosystem of business applications, cloud platforms, monitoring tools, and infrastructure services. Working closely with Solution Architects, Platform Engineers, Infrastructure teams, Application Owners, and business stakeholders, you will deliver secure, scalable, and resilient integration solutions that enhance automation, improve operational visibility, and support enterprise service management across the organization.
As the Senior ServiceNow Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting complex integrations across the ServiceNow platform while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, governance standards, and ITIL best practices. Design and implement enterprise integration architectures supporting ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM solutions
Develop and maintain secure, scalable integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise applications, cloud platforms, monitoring tools, identity services, ERP systems, collaboration platforms, and DevOps toolchains
Build and support integrations utilizing REST APIs, SOAP web services, GraphQL, event-driven architecture, IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, MID Servers, and Scripted APIs
Design and implement integrations supporting Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, CMDB, Asset Management, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management,
Operational Intelligence, Cloud Discovery, and Orchestration
Develop middleware integrations utilizing enterprise integration platforms including Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Informatica, Kafka, or equivalent technologies
Support CMDB integration strategy through configuration item ingestion, reconciliation, data validation, and ongoing data quality initiatives
Implement CI/CD pipelines, version control processes, release management practices, and Infrastructure as Code principles supporting ServiceNow integration deployments
Produce high-quality technical documentation including solution designs, architecture diagrams, interface specifications, operational procedures, and support documentation
Troubleshoot complex integration issues spanning multiple enterprise platforms while identifying opportunities to improve performance, resiliency, scalability, and automation
Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the ServiceNow integration practice
8+ years of enterprise integration engineering experience supporting complex enterprise environments
5+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting ServiceNow platform integrations
Proven experience implementing integrations across ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM capabilities
Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs, SOAP web services, GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integrations
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, MID Servers, Business Rules, Scripted APIs, and scoped applications
Solid knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM, Discovery, CMDB, Service Mapping, Event Management, and ITOM architecture
Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms such as Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, Splunk, AppDynamics, Datadog, SolarWinds, or SCOM
Experience with middleware and enterprise integration technologies including Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, Informatica, Kafka, or similar platforms
Experience supporting Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or hybrid cloud environments
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines utilizing Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar DevOps platforms
Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies and large enterprise transformation programs
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is preferred
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM and/or Discovery) certification is considered a strong asset
ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification is considered an asset
Location: Remote (Eastern Time) with flexibility to collaborate across additional time zones as required
Duration: 6-month contract with a high likelihood of extension
Full-time, primarily aligned to Eastern Time (ET), with flexibility to support UK/Europe business hours when required
