About Adora Bright
Adora Bright Pediatric Therapy Services is a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy clinic providing individualized, evidence-based services to children and youth. Our team works collaboratively across ABA, Speech-Language Pathology, and Occupational Therapy to support meaningful skill development, independence, participation, and quality of life.
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Therapist with a strong clinical background working with children and youth ages 8–14.
This is not an entry-level Behaviour Therapist position. We are looking for a clinician who is confident working with older children and youth presenting with increasingly complex needs related to executive functioning, emotional regulation, flexibility, independence, social functioning, communication, and behaviour.
The Role The Senior Therapist will provide direct clinical intervention while taking a leadership role in program implementation, clinical problem-solving, staff support, and treatment fidelity under the supervision of an RBA/BCBA.
The ideal candidate understands that effective intervention with children and youth requires more than implementing basic ABA programs. They should be able to recognize the developmental, social, emotional, behavioural, and executive functioning demands that emerge as children get older and adapt intervention accordingly.
The Senior Therapist will work closely with the supervising RBA/BCBA and interdisciplinary team to translate clinical recommendations into meaningful, functional programming across individual and group environments.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Clinical Intervention
- Provide high-quality ABA-based intervention to children and youth, primarily ages 8–14
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of an RBA/BCBA
- Support clients with varying communication, behavioural, social, emotional, adaptive, and executive functioning needs
- Facilitate both individual and group-based programming
- Promote independence rather than unnecessary adult or prompt dependence
- Embed skill development into meaningful, age-appropriate activities and naturally occurring situations
- Support generalization of skills across therapists, peers, activities, and environments
Executive Functioning & Independence Support programming related to areas such as:
- Emotional regulation
- Cognitive flexibility
- Task initiation
- Planning and organization
- Planning and sequencing
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Self-monitoring
- Social executive functioning
- Perspective taking
- Independence and self-advocacy
- Tolerating changes, delays, and unexpected situations
- Functional communication and appropriately requesting help, clarification, breaks, or changes
Experience delivering executive functioning programming for school-age children and youth is a significant asset.
Clinical Leadership
- Serve as a strong clinical model for Behaviour Therapists
- Support therapists in understanding the purpose and clinical rationale behind programming rather than simply following written instructions
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback when appropriate
- Assist with implementation of new programs and treatment protocols
- Identify implementation challenges and communicate them effectively to the supervising clinician
- Support consistency and treatment integrity across team members
- Participate in clinical discussions, case reviews, and treatment planning
- Assist with preparation and organization of materials required for programming
- Contribute thoughtful clinical observations regarding client progress, barriers, and emerging needs
Behaviour Support The successful candidate should be comfortable supporting children and youth who may demonstrate:
- Emotional dysregulation
- Difficulty tolerating changes or unexpected situations
- Task avoidance
- Rigidity or inflexible thinking
- Challenges with transitions
- Social conflict
- Frustration related to academic or executive functioning demands
- Aggression or other unsafe behaviour
- Difficulty communicating needs appropriately
Candidates should demonstrate robust skills in prevention, de-escalation, functional communication, environmental modification, reinforcement-based intervention, and helping clients return to regulation and meaningful participation.

- Strong understanding of Applied Behaviour Analysis
- Experience implementing individualized behavioural and skill-acquisition programs
- Experience collecting and interpreting clinical data
- Strong understanding of prompting, reinforcement, shaping, generalization, and systematic skill development
- Ability to recognize when programming needs to be modified or reviewed rather than continuing ineffective implementation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

This position may be a strong fit for you if you:
- Enjoy working with older children and youth, not only early learners
