NTT DATA's Client is currently seeking a Senior Vantage Mainframe Developer to join their team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).

- Perform system and requirement analysis for life and Annuity insurance product development
- Define application design strategies aligned with business and technical requirements
- Prepare technical design documents and develop functionalities to meet the product requirements
- Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, VSAM, JCL, DB2, CICS, Web Services in Mainframe and Microfocus technologies
- Utilize enterprise systems and tools to support development, testing, and deployment activities
- Support system and application testing activities for mission-critical business applications
- Assist in validating system enhancements to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
- Ensure system functionality and stability during enhancements and rollouts
- Identify and analyze issues during testing and implementation phases
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects
- Support defect tracking and resolution processes to ensure timely fixes
- Conduct code and design reviews to ensure compliance with project guidelines and specifications
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development and testing processes
- Coordinate daily with offshore teams to communicate requirements and project updates
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and system functionality
- Work effectively within onsite-offshore delivery models across global teams
- Assist in production deployments and post-release validation

Basic Qualifications:




- Minimum 5+ years of Vantage with life/annuity product development and enhancements
- Minimum 5+ years development experience using COBOL, JCL, DB2 in Mainframe and Microfocus
- Travel: This position requires someone who works in NTT Office location Halifax, Novascotia
- Degree: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
