Duties

- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems, such as Micros POS, ensuring timely entry and communication with the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and safety.
- Manage guest needs throughout their dining experience, addressing questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, or special requests with professionalism.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities through friendly recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while balancing registers at shift end.




- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, adhering to food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist in basic food preparation when needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently without compromising quality or guest experience.

Qualifications

- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cashiering tasks.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates positive guest interactions.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing, tips, and cash handling purposes.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
- Experience with food industry operations including serving, upselling, and managing guest needs effectively.
- Kitchen experience or understanding of food preparation processes is a plus but not required.
