G.T. French, a wholesale distributor of Food Service, Sanitation and Packaging products is currently hiring to fill the position of Shipper in the Hamilton warehouse operation.

Physical Requirements:

- able to lift up to 50 lb. on a regular basis
- able to stand on their feet for long periods of time during each shift
- able to withstand considerable amounts of walking, reaching, lifting + bending
- able to work with heights once trained on equipment - for picking orders

Position Requirements:

- must possess proven communication skills
- must be comfortable working with technology; i.e. computer, tablet, scanner
- forklift and warehousing experience would be an asset
- safety shoes

Main Responsibilities:

- picking and assembling customer orders
- picking branch transfers
- checking products and orders for accuracy before loading
- loading orders on trucks for delivery
- invoicing
- verifying inventory counts
- replenishing inventory in bin locations
- cleaning
- completing other general warehouse tasks as instructed

Environment:

- dusty warehouse environment




- dim lighting in warehouse
- variable temperatures
- varying levels of noise
- moving equipment

Schedule Requirements:

- 7:00pm to 3:00am - Monday through Thursday evenings
- 3:00pm to 8:00pm - Sunday (must be flexible on Sundays as working hours could vary)
- Approximately 37-40 hours per week
