Become a locum Anesthesiologist at the North Island Hospital Campbell River & District Campus with Island Health. Provide critical anesthesia services and engage in a collaborative surgical environment.
This position invites qualified candidates with a CPSBC license and a mandatory FRCPC fellowship. You will be responsible for 24/7 anesthesia coverage while managing emergency and trauma cases. Collaborate in an enriching workplace that supports teaching initiatives for medical students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide anesthesia for a range of surgical specialties
• Cover shared surgical call with local medical centers
• Work with ICU and ER teams for acute cases
• Contribute to the education of medical students and residents
• Coordinate travel and accommodation logistics as appropriate
Requirements:
• Current CPSBC license is essential
• Full membership with CMPA required
• FRCPC certification is mandatory
• Proficient in anesthesia and acute care management
• Availability to start from November 2024 to January 2025
