Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated shop labour or Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and the prospect to develop essential skills in mechanical repair and maintenance and earn an apprenticeship .

The Apprentice

Mechanic will work under the supervision of experienced technicians to learn industry best practices, assist with routine maintenance, and gain practical experience in a dynamic work environment. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about mechanics and eager to build a career in the field.

Duties

- Assist senior mechanics with diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on equipment and machinery
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and inspections
- Learn to use various hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing devices
- Support the team in troubleshooting mechanical problems and identifying solutions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Document work performed and report findings to supervisors
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times during work activities

Skills

- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components




- Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills in mechanics
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work under supervision
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Prior experience in automotive or industrial mechanics is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
