Visionary Centre for the Performing Arts is looking for a dynamic, passionate vocal instructor to join our team of professionals.

If you have a bachelor degree and have performance experience this may be the position for you. We are looking for an energetic vocal instructor who would like to teach students of all ages and styles of music. It is very significant to us that our students develop solid technique so suitable candidate must have a background in vocal technique.

We offer group and private lessons as well as musical theatre and our students participate in numerous recitals and performances, so they will need a teacher who can successfully prepare them for performances, festivals, and recording opportunities. Many of our students are also songwriters so it would be an added bonus if the instructor had experience in original music.

The position we are looking to fill is a contract, hourly position offering lessons in the evenings and weekends at our Edmonton location.





A suitable candidate will have the following education and experience;

-A bachelor degree or diploma in music

-Performance experience

-Strong communication skills

-Commitment to the students growth

-Reliable

Duties include:

-Teaching weekly lessons

-Training students in vocal and performance technique

-Assisting students in choosing repertoire in all styles of music

-Preparing students for recitals, auditions, exams and other performances
