What You'll Be Doing
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help build the project while leading it.
Responsibilities include
- Performing rough and finish carpentry on custom homes and renovations
- Leading daily site operations and coordinating trades, suppliers, and schedules
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Maintaining exceptional quality throughout every stage of construction
- Mentoring apprentices and carpenters while promoting best practices
- Proactively solving problems and keeping projects moving efficiently
- Coordinating inspections and ensuring work meets Ontario Building Code requirements
- Communicating with the Project Manager, office team, clients, and trades
- Completing daily site documentation using company software
- Maintaining safe, clean, and organized job sites
- Managing materials, deliveries, equipment, and site logistics
- Representing Collab Contractors professionally on every project
What We're Looking For
- Red Seal Carpenter Certification (preferred)
- 8–10 years of residential construction experience
- Experience leading crews on custom homes or high-end renovations
- Strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- High standards for quality and craftsmanship
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and construction management software
