Site Superintendent – Industrial Ground-Up Construction

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established General Contractor specializing in ground-up industrial construction across the GTA. They have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality distribution centres, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and other large-scale industrial projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead complex ground-up industrial projects

This opportunity is ideal for a construction qualified who excels in managing large-scale industrial builds from site development through occupancy, coordinating multiple trades, and delivering exceptional quality while maintaining schedule and safety.

Responsibilities

- Manage all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through project closeout.
- Lead ground-up industrial construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and client representatives.
- Drive project schedules and maintain daily progress to meet key milestones.
- Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within quality standards, and in accordance with contract documents.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, productivity, and workmanship.
- Oversee site logistics, excavation, foundations, structural steel erection, building envelope, and building systems installation.




- Identify and resolve site issues proactively to minimize delays.
- Coordinate inspections and deficiencies with consultants and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, site instructions, and deficiency tracking.
- Chair regular site meetings with trades and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Ontario Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
- Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent on ground-up industrial construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering industrial projects .
- Experience with distribution centres, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, or other large-scale industrial builds.
- Strong understanding of site development, structural steel, building envelope, and construction sequencing/scheduling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and Ontario health and safety requirements.
- Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office is considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence.

Salary: $130K – $150K
