Skeena Cat skiing is looking for a full time mechanic to maintain and repair snowcats, diesel generators and snowmobiles. The schedule would be 2 weeks in; 1 week out from mid December to the end of March. There would also be the option of pre-season (summer service) work in the summer or autumn.
Applicants must be very mechanically inclined and have previous experience working on heavy duty machinery. A Red-seal mechanic or someone with snowcat experience would be preferred but we would consider all applicants that are skilled and experienced working on machinery.
Meals and private bedroom accommodation provided.
You would get some Cat skiing 1 or 2 afternoons per week (you need to be a sufficiently positive skier or boarder).
Pay would be $300-400/day – depending on your qualifications and experience. Tips are split evenly amongst staff and are typically a generous addition to your salary.
