Your Opportunity

The primary responsibilities of this position include:





- Provide instruction for assigned Ski/Snowboard lessons
- Assist with oversight of snow school programs, including staff training and on hill supervision
- Support with management of class sizes and quality of Snow School Programs and lessons
- Assist with participant/parent inquiries and other program feedback throughout the season
- Assist staff in creating clear and open lines of communication with program participants (and parents)
- Ensure high quality instruction for participants by providing regular instructor feedback and contributing to performance reviews
- Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals
- Other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications

- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills; Able to develop, promote, and maintain high levels of customer service, while maintaining effective communication within the Snow School team and across other CH departments
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Must have availability to support snow school programs from start to finish. This will include:
- One Weekend shift
- 8 Weeks starting January 9/10 and ending March 6/7 (excluding Family Day Weekend)
- One Weekday shift (daytime or evening)
- 8 Weeks starting January 4-8 and ending February 23-March 1 (excluding Family Day Weekend)

- One of 4 Camp Programs:

- Camp 1: December 19-23, 2026
- Camp 2: December 27-31, 2026
- Camp 3: January 1-3, 2027
- Camp 4: March 15-19, 2027

- Previous experience leading small teams and a demonstrated ability to create a positive work environment
- Strong organizational and class management skills
- Ability to adapt to the daily challenges associated with the operation of the Snow School
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Dayforce, Outlook)
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, on varied terrain
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Successful candidates must be active members of CASI/CSIA/CSCF prior to first day of employment

- Level II or greater certification is an asset

- Working knowledge of CSIA and CASI teaching methodologies
- Successful candidates must provide own ski or snowboarding equipment: Skis/Poles or Snowboard, Helmet, Black snow pants (no patterns) *Uniform jacket will be provided (to be returned end of season)
- Successful candidates will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSS),



to verify the absence of a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted (if over 18 years old). *Cost covered by Conservation Halton up to $30.00
- CH parks are not accessible by public transit; candidates should ensure they have reliable transportation

Your Reward

- Starting at $22.38 per hour
- Part time and full-time hours available; hours may vary depending on availability
- Working hours will vary (daytime and evening shifts) and will include weekends and holidays.
