We are looking for a full-time (Monday - Friday) Social Life Coach who loves music, dance, and/or animals and leads a healthy lifestyle, to support our daughter with a disability in developing a rich life in social and recreation environments and in finding a paid job. Some flexibility with schedule required, and potential for additional hours.

My daughter is a fun, compassionate and enthusiastic young lady who requires support to advocate for herself and connect deeply with other people. We are looking for a community mentor who is interested in getting to know her as a person, someone who will help her build a social network, and explore and expand her interests in both social and work environments.

Role of the Social Life Coach:

The Social Life Coach will support my daughter in developing meaningful friendships, exploring her interests, and becoming an active and independent member of her community.

- Get to know my daughter; including her likes, dislikes, interests, strengths, and communication style, so staff can help her advocate for herself and communicate independently.




- Explore social activities based on existing interests while also introducing her to new experiences that may interest her.
- Support in social environments while she develops confidence and independence and practice social and communication skills.
- Actively search out opportunities to participate in community and develop natural connections with peers and maintain a social network.
- Support my daughter to find paid employment through resume building, networking, and skill and job development
- Provide guidance, prompts, modeling, or reminders when needed, but allow my daughter the time and chance to try independently before stepping in.

The ideal candidate will need to be a strong advocate, have an ability to facilitate relationships, and a knowledge of community opportunities related to our daughter's interests or willingness to help her explore.
