Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $70.00/hr

Position: Social Sciences PhD Expert

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $60–$70/hour

Location: Remote Complexity,

Commitment: Part-time, project-based (10–20 hours/week)

Responsibilities

- Create and refine historically accurate prompts and ideal responses across diverse time periods and geographies
- Evaluate and improve AI-generated outputs for factual accuracy, depth, and clarity
- Develop content aligned with different system personas (e.g., academic expert, generalist learner)
- Generate prompt variants to test instruction-following, tone, and persona-based responses
- Identify and design tasks that expose limitations in state-of-the-art AI models




- ContributeRGBA to long-term supervised fine-tuning dataset development initiatives

Requirements

- PhD in History or a closely related social science discipline
- Specialized expertise in a defined historical era, region, or methodology
- Solid analytical and written communication skills
- Experience in academic writing, curriculum design, or public history is preferred
- Ability to work independently and iteratively with minimal oversight
