AWS Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced AWS Software Engineer with strong expertise in cloud-native application development, API design, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend solutions leveraging AWS cloud services, serverless architectures, and modern database technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- API & Service Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs (RESTful and GraphQL) using Node.js/TypeScript and AWS services (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, Cognito).
- Cloud Architecture & Deployment: Architect and deploy serverless and containerized microservices utilizing Docker, AWS ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, and CloudFront.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Implement and manage continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar tools, incorporating Infrastructure as Code (e.g., AWS CDK, CloudFormation).
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Establish unit and integration tests using frameworks such as PyTest, Jest, or Mocha.
- Security & Compliance: Apply secure coding principles (OWASP best practices), robust authentication/authorization models (AWS IAM, Cognito), and secrets management across cloud environments.
- System Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, reliability, and security using AWS CloudWatch and related telemetry tools.
- Collaboration & Technical Leadership:



Partner with cross-functional teams, UI/UX engineers, and product managers to translate user needs into clear technical specifications and high-quality software solutions.

Required Qualifications

- Core Backend & AWS Expertise: Robust hands-on experience with core AWS services (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch) and serverless/microservices design patterns.
- Programming Languages: Advanced proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript (or Python).
- Database Design: Extensive experience with relational databases (SQL on AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB).
- Tooling & Infrastructure: Experience with containerization (Docker), version control (Git workflows), and automated deployment pipelines.
- Problem-Solving & Professional Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex non-routine technical issues, work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively in an Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- 4–6 years of professional software engineering and backend development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks (AWS CDK, Terraform).
- Experience with container orchestration platforms (AWS ECS/EKS, Kubernetes).
- Valid AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate).
