Overview Join to apply for the Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT) role at CBI Health in Nova Scotia. The role is part of the CBI Rehabilitation Outpatient team and involves clinical services for patients referred for counselling. The position includes work at clinics serving patients who are self-referred, referred by a physician, or referred by a third-party payer or public agency. You will work autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities Provide clinical services at clinics for patients referred for counselling services, including consultation, evaluation, assessment, diagnoses, interventions, monitoring of progress/outcomes, and discharge with individuals, families and/or groups.
Manage a caseload of patients as described above (self-referred, physician-referred, third-party payer, or public agency referrals).
What You Will Need To Be Successful Hold a master’s, doctoral or equivalent graduate degree in Counselling
Be currently registered and in good standing with your governing board
Maintain individual skilled liability/malpractice insurance
Have relevant clinical practice experience, including assessment and provision of appropriate intervention for a variety of conditions
Be able to work autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
Be efficient and responsive in the provision of required clinical documentation
Demonstrate a work ethic,



reliability, maturity and flexibility
All team members are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination upon hire or provide a valid medical exemption
