Overview A well-established, national specialty retailer in the home-goods category is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee a cluster of stores across Saskatchewan and Manitoba. This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team, elevate store execution, and drive results for a brand known for quality, comfort, and a warm, service-focused customer experience. The Area Manager will be based in either Saskatchewan or Manitoba and will manage a designated “home store” while providing strategic leadership to 4–6 additional locations across the region. This individual will serve as a key connector between stores and the broader organization, ensuring consistent standards, operational discipline, and an engaged, people-first culture.

Responsibilities

Lead daily operations of the assigned home store while providing coaching, direction, and performance management to Store Managers across the region

Drive sales, ensure strong merchandising execution, and uphold high standards of customer service

Build engaged, high-performing store teams through training, mentorship, and succession planning

Partner closely with internal departments on merchandising, inventory flow, promotions, and visual execution

Analyze store performance, identify opportunities, and implement action plans to support growth and operational excellence

Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory controls,



and loss prevention practices

Support new store openings, remodels, and special initiatives when required

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional guest service

Qualifications

Multi-unit retail leadership experience, ideally in specialty, apparel, or home categories

Robust operational acumen, with the ability to balance big-picture planning and hands-on leadership

Proven success in leading and developing Store Managers

Skilled at driving sales, managing KPIs, and ensuring consistent brand and merchandising standards

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Ability to travel across the region regularly
