Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — Independent Contractor, Brandon, MB.

Pediatric and adolescent caseload, multidisciplinary practice.

Lighthouse Wellness Centre is a private, women-led multidisciplinary wellness practice in Brandon, MB, serving individuals, couples, and families from age 3 up. Our therapeutic play and family counselling practitioners already work with a strong base of children and adolescents. SLP is new to our services, so you'd be building this caseload alongside a team with existing, active pediatric and family referrals.

If you're an SLP looking to work within a small, collaborative clinical team where you can consult directly with the therapists and family counsellors already involved in a child's care, rather than working in isolation, this is a chance to help build that from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for pediatric and adolescent clients using standardized tools
- Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans addressing articulation, language delay, fluency, or social communication goals
- Document assessments and session notes in an EHR software, meeting CASLPM record-keeping standards
- Communicate with parents/caregivers on progress and home-practice strategies
- Sit in on case consultations with our therapeutic play practitioner and family counsellors for shared clients

- Direct, informal case consultation with the counsellors and therapeutic play practitioners already working with a shared client — not routed through separate systems or referral paperwork
- Flexibility to build your practice and hours around your own life, as an independent contractor rather than within a fixed institutional schedule

How we support your ramp-up:

- Direct, individual introductions to our therapeutic play and family counselling practitioners for your first shared clients
- We'll review current pediatric and family caseloads for clients who may benefit from SLP support and flag potential referrals directly to you
- Scheduled check-ins during your first 3 months to problem-solve caseload growth together

Must have:

- Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM)
- Current professional liability insurance

Nice to have:

- Pediatric caseload experience

Compensation: split percentage model, with a competitive per-session fee set collaboratively based on discipline standards. Employment type: Contract / Self-employed. Full- or part time caseload welcome.
