Arbutus Speech Therapy
Vancouver
Build a private-practice caseload around your interests and availability, with referrals, administration, and an experienced SLP owner supporting you behind the scenes.
Arbutus Speech Therapy is looking for one or two Speech-Language Pathologists to join our community-based Vancouver practice. Begin with a manageable caseload, help shape the clients you see, and grow as we match you with suitable referrals.
Current demand is strongest for pediatric appointments after school. We are especially interested in an SLP who can offer at least two consistent weekday afternoon or evening blocks and travel to homes and schools in Vancouver. Adult referrals may also be available.
What we offer
- A caseload shaped around you. We match referrals to your interests, preferred locations, and availability.
- The business side handled. We manage intake, initial scheduling, billing, collections, and funding administration so you can focus on your clients.
- Clinical freedom with real support. Manage your work independently, with a practising SLP owner available for onboarding, consultation, mentorship, report review, and applicable supervision.
- Room to grow. Start part-time, build a varied caseload, and progress through our four-level compensation structure.
- Reliable systems and resources. Receive biweekly payments, secure email and Jane access, selected assessment tools and virtual materials, and support from a small, responsive team.
Work where communication happens Arbutus is a community-based practice. Our SLPs work with clients in homes, schools, daycares, community settings, and online when appropriate. If you enjoy variety and getting to know clients in their everyday environments, this may feel like home.
Compensation
Most current clinicians are paid approximately CA$95–$115 per completed standard treatment session, depending on experience, availability, specialization, and service area. A standard session includes 45 minutes with the client plus routine preparation and documentation.
About you
Career stage matters less to us than fit. We would like to meet you if:
- You enjoy pediatric work and are open to some adult clients.
- You can offer at least two consistent weekday after-school or evening blocks.
- You enjoy community-based work and have access to a reliable vehicle.
- You value independence and responsive support.
- You are kind, dependable, communicative, and clinically thoughtful.
New graduates are warmly encouraged to apply. Our owner has helped an early-career SLP build a substantial private caseload and is prepared to work closely with the right person.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active or conditional registration with CHCPBC
- Driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to provide in-person services in Vancouver
Interested? Let’s have a conversation. Apply with your resume, no formal cover letter required. We begin with a brief, informal conversation about the clients you enjoy, your availability, and the areas you would like to serve.
