The Uummarmiutun Language Instructor will directly contribute to the survival and growth of the Uummarmiutun language. Reporting to the Inuvialuktun Education Manager, your role involves teaching students and developing curriculum that highlights the language’s cultural significance. We seek two passionate instructors for a one-year term who are versed in education methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Uummarmiutun to diverse student groups
• Develop effective curriculum and teaching resources




• Promote the importance of language within Inuvialuit culture
• Utilize robust classroom management practices
• Collaborate on community language initiatives

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related discipline
• Hold or be eligible for N.W.T. Skilled Teaching Certification
• Proficient in Uummarmiutun with cultural understanding
• Experience in teaching and curriculum design
• Solid interpersonal and communication abilities
