Physics Tutor (Casual Part-Time)

Oxford Learning New Westminster is seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for our learning centre.

Position Requirements

All teacher‑tutors work after‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm – 8:00 pm) and some Saturdays (10:00 am – 3:00 pm). The role is in‑person and requires reliable attendance and a short commute to the New Westminster campus.

Applicants must have a majority of the following qualifications.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
- Teaching certification is an asset
- Good knowledge of science curriculum

Experience

- Some experience teaching/tutoring up to college level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities (Position Details)

- Teach up to three students at a time at different levels
- Teach in‑person
- Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Fill in post‑lesson notes




- Complete daily student communication updates
- Maintain a friendly and qualified manner at all times

Employment Type

Part‑time (Casual). Pay: $22‑$25 per hour. Schedule: evenings, Monday to Friday, Saturday availability.
