Analyst, Corporate Accounting Position Overview Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, this role involves cross‑functional collaboration within the Finance Department to prepare monthly financial statements and management reports. The responsibilities combine technical accounting, financial analysis, process improvement, and month‑end close tasks.
Responsibilities - Own assigned accounting areas end‑to‑end (transaction flows, root‑cause analysis, process improvements, accurate year‑round accounting).
- Prepare month‑end journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, revenue recognition, fixed assets, etc.
- Analyze corporate consolidations, propose accurate eliminations, and prepare related journal entries.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert, investigate unusual transactions, reconcile variances, identify risks, and implement corrective actions before financial reporting impact.
- Resolve outstanding reconciling items, accounting discrepancies, and process inefficiencies through cross‑functional partnership.
- Prepare and own balance‑sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Develop and execute action plans to address recurring accounting issues, strengthen controls, improve data quality, and prevent repeats.
- Analyze and present monthly results, significant variances, and comparisons to budget/forecast.
- Collaborate with business on appropriate accrual journal entries and ensure SOX compliance.
- Prepare ad‑hoc financial reports as required.
- Provide supporting documentation to internal auditors, year‑end audits, and quarterly reviews.
- Continuously seek process efficiencies, assist with report automation, and propose improvement opportunities.
Qualifications - Working toward or holding a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
- 3–5 years of professional accounting experience in a corporate accounting function of a publicly traded company.
- Proficient in IFRS, with experience in multiple currencies and international operations, preferred in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 (D365) is an asset.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Salary $73,000 – $102,000 per year.
