The Chance
Experienced Property Claims Adjuster responsible for managing property claims from intake to resolution, including coverage assessment, vendor coordination, payment processing, and salvage/subrogation activities. The successful person will come with commercial property experience.
What to Expect
- Accepting notice of claim and working with the customer and preferred Vendors to resolve the claim quickly and efficiently
- Confirming policy coverage by ensuring the facts of the claim fall within the scope of the policy
- Maintaining detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems
- Processing claims payments within level of authority after verifying claimant's entitlement
- Initiating salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned files
What You Bring
- University degree in any discipline or a college diploma in one of the following programs:
2-year diploma from a provincially recognized and funded community college in Insurance, Law & Security, Loss Control, Business Administration or the CIP designation
- 5-8 year’s experience adjusting property claims
- Experience of commercial property claims would be an asset
- Licensed in New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland would be an asset
- Familiarity with Guidewire system
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Bilingual capabilities (French and English) would be an asset
- Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers
- Able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure
- Team player adaptable to a changing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Salary Range: $59,300 - $109,200
