Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Permanent, Part-Time Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end financial processes.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with accounting software. Experience with Jonas Enterprise is considered an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense tracking using Jonas Enterprise.
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including recording customer transactions and following up on outstanding payments.
- Perform bank, general ledger, and subsidiary ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Support audit activities by preparing financial documentation and providing explanations for transactions as required.




- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Provide general accounting and bookkeeping support to the finance team as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

- Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Experience with accounting software; Jonas Enterprise experience is an asset.
- Robust understanding of bookkeeping principles, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in the financial services industry or a related field is an asset.
