Join to apply for the Veterinary Technician Practicum role at NVA Canada .
NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop your clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and more. Enhance your communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing you for a successful career as an RVT. Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals. Eligible students—those enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year—can receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, allowing you to focus on learning without financial worries. Responsibilities
Develop clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and related areas.
Work alongside veterinarians and RVTs in a energetic hospital setting.
Communicate effectively with medical teams and clients to support patient care.
Participate in practicum activities, training, and learning opportunities aligned with your goals.
Qualifications
Final-year student enrolled in an accredited veterinary technology (VT) program in Canada.
Intended to complete the final practicum during the current academic year.
Interest in pursuing a career as a Veterinary Technologist (RVT).
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, inclusive team; strong communication and time-management skills.
Eligible for a travel stipend (where applicable).
