Summary
Help amplify youth voices and mental health awareness! We're seeking creative, community-driven volunteers to lead social media, storytelling, and public engagement for our youth-led nonprofit.

Location
Toronto, Ontario (in-person). Hybrid events and online coordination.

Opportunity Type
Ongoing - Start anytime. Schedule: 5–10 hours per week (versatile).

About Live More
Live More is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to empowering Black youth—especially immigrants—through creative expression, mental health support, and community building. We host workshops, art-based wellness events, peer support spaces, and other community-centered initiatives that promote healing, culture, and connection.

Role Overview
As a Marketing & Public Engagement Lead, you will play a key role in shaping how Live More shows up in both digital and community spaces. You’ll help amplify our mission through engaging content, meaningful storytelling, and relationship‑building with partners and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Live More’s social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)

Create and schedule content including event promotions, quotes, recaps, and updates

Design visually engaging and emotionally resonant content using tools like Canva





Engage with followers and support growth of our online community

Promote events and encourage public participation

Develop strategies to increase visibility and audience engagement

Support outreach to potential partners, organizations, and collaborators

Attend events to capture content, network, and support public engagement efforts

Who We’re Looking For

Strong interest in social media, storytelling, and digital engagement

Experience using platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Canva, and Reels

Confident communicator with creative ideas

Strong written and verbal English skills

Self‑motivated and reliable with posting schedules

Open‑minded, non‑judgmental, and respectful of diverse values and experiences

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

Willing to attend community events and network

Passionate about youth empowerment, mental health, and Black communities

Requirements

Legal residency in Canada (citizenship, PR, work permit, or valid visa)

Reliable and able to meet volunteer commitments

Willingness to follow Live More policies, procedures, and Code of Ethics

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Access to a phone or laptop and reliable internet

Willingness to sign a Volunteer Work Agreement

Participation in ongoing training and development opportunities
