Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor – Montreal, Canada

At MDA Space, we are looking for an experienced recruiter to help grow our talent pool across high‑tech engineering and computer systems roles.

Responsibilities:

Attract, assess, and hire the right candidates in a timely fashion.

Identify hiring needs and search requirements, matching candidates with suitable roles.

Participate in the creation and implementation of staffing strategies to provide a qualified and diverse candidate pool.

Build relationships with talent in the marketplace, sourcing passive candidates through networking and direct sourcing.

Evaluate skill level, conduct efficient interviews, and drive the offer process, including reference checks, salary recommendations, negotiations and closing.

Communicate effectively with hiring managers and interview teams to ensure interview preparedness and exchange information at all management levels.

Provide an excellent candidate experience, promote MDA Space employer brand, and implement ongoing recruitment improvements.

Participate in strategic HR activities as directed.

Requirements (experience/skills):

Post‑secondary education and 8+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in high‑tech environments.

Strong written and verbal communication in French and English.

Technical recruiting experience in computer and engineering fields, and networking in the technology industry.

Team player with outstanding interpersonal skills.

Experience partnering with managers,



interviewers and hiring teams throughout the hiring process.

Knowledge of current recruiting practices and techniques.

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and provide strong consultative skills during the search.

Self‑directed, persistent, and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency.

Attention to detail and follow‑through.

Proactive, results‑oriented, strong business sense and organizational skills.

Based in Montreal; work in office Monday‑Thursday with option to work from home Friday.

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold a security clearance at the Reliability status level and pass a security assessment for CGP.
