Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Stage & Operations Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of live events and productions. This role is vital in ensuring seamless operations across all stages of event delivery, from pre-production setup to post-event wrap-up. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for event management, exceptional organizational skills, and proficiency with industry-standard software.

Duties

- Set up and organize all backstage and staff areas, ensuring functional workspaces for cast, crew, and production teams.
- Work closely with the Rehearsal Director, Creative Director, and Production team to understand the vision and requirements of each show.
- Plan and execute the rehearsal schedule, including location logistics and resource needs.
- Keep accurate records of blocking, script changes, cue sheets, and other production notes.
- Communicate rehearsal schedules, changes, and production updates to cast and crew in a timely manner.
- Own and manage the ongoing weekly staff schedule, coordinating shift coverage, availability, and time-off requests.
- Manage the opening and closing procedures for each performance.
- Monitor and replenish printing and inventory on a regular basis.
- Track and report venue repair and maintenance issues, following up with facilities teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Address technical or logistical issues that arise during performances promptly and calmly.
- Facilitate clear, consistent communication among the production team, cast, and crew.




- Conduct regular team meetings and post-show debriefs to review performance quality and implement improvements.
- Maintain a safe working environment for cast and crew at all times, ensuring ongoing compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Log and escalate recurring operational issues, proposing process improvements where needed.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in stage management, event production, or related operations roles
- Familiarity with live sound and lighting equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts, Stage Management, or related field preferred.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the production schedule.
