Job Summary

Five Rivers Construction Ltd. is hiring an experienced Steel Stud Framer for construction projects in Halifax, NS. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience installing steel studs, tracks, bulkheads, drywall framing, and interior wall systems.

Responsibilities

- Measure, cut, and install steel studs and tracks according to project drawings
- Build interior wall framing, bulkheads, soffits, ceilings, and partitions
- Install metal framing for doors, windows, corners, and openings
- Ensure all framing is straight, level, plumb, and properly secured
- Read and follow blueprints, layouts, and site instructions
- Work with drywall installers and other trades to prepare areas for boarding
- Use tools such as drills, laser levels, snips, screw guns, and measuring tools
- Follow job site safety rules and keep the work area clean and organized.

Requirements





- Experience in steel stud framing / metal stud framing preferred
- Knowledge of interior framing, tracks, studs, and drywall backing
- Ability to read measurements and follow construction layouts
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Physically able to lift materials and work on construction sites
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Own basic tools and transportation is an asset

Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- Day shift
- Weekend availability may be required

Pay $18 to 35
