Job Summary

Responsibilities

- Load and unload steel products using appropriate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and clamp trucks
- Safely operate machinery including cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment to move steel materials within the warehouse
- Assist with order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain organized storage of steel inventory, ensuring proper stacking and labeling for easy retrieval
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments and preparing outgoing loads




- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and warehouse areas to ensure safety standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution workflows and improve overall efficiency

Skills

- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar industrial environments
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation such as cranes, forklifts, and clamp trucks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the shift
- Skilled in order picking, load & unload procedures, and shipping & receiving processes
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and documentation
- Construction or industrial experience is a plus for understanding heavy material handling
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse activities
