Co‑Op – Analog/ Mixed‑Signal IC Design The co‑op student will be given the responsibility of utilizing and learning analog/mixed‑signal IC design and simulation techniques to investigate selected topics of interest. The exercise will involve working with one or more blocks touching upon one or more of the following subsystems:
Analog front‑end and RX EQ circuits
Phase interpolators
Clock synthesis, clock distribution and clock muxing
Decision‑feedback equalizers
Transmit path
Biasing
The co‑op candidate will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of the problems to be investigated, document and present the circuit experiments and simulation results in internal design review meetings.
Qualifications Canadian Citizen or permanent resident
Excellent problem‑solving skills, analog aptitude, good communication skills, and ability to work cooperatively in a team setting
Familiarity with scripting languages is a plus
Currently enrolled in MS or BS program with major in EE or equivalent
Compensation & Benefits The hourly range for Analog/Mixed‑Signal IC Design Co‑Op/Intern is from $30 CAD to $45 CAD.
