As a Senior Director in Commercial Banking at National Bank, you will be responsible for growing the portfolio of business clients entrusted to you. Your complex and wide-ranging tasks will allow you to quickly become the resource person for your clients' financial projects.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, increase your business clientele and establish business development strategies.

Help clients achieve their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most appropriate combination of bank products and services.

Meet changing needs by adapting and optimizing financial products and advice approaches.

Negotiate the terms and conditions of agreements with clients while ensuring they comply with risk management standards and profitability criteria.

Assist the Associate Vice‑President in achieving objectives.

Actively participate in various networking activities (cocktail parties, conferences).

Work in synergy with all other bank departments.

Team & Reporting
You will join a team of specialists in Commercial and private Banking who support business clients. You will also be surrounded by an ecosystem of specialists, such as Financing Solutions Managers, who will help you propose the solutions best suited to our clients' needs. You will report to the Associate Vice‑President and manage a portfolio of clients covering the GTA region.





Work Environment & Development
Work is hybrid; you’ll split your time between the office, visiting clients, networking events, and working from home. Our training programs use on‑the‑job learning to help you master your role. You will have access to personalized training content on banking solutions and the advisory approach, as well as to colleagues with a wide range of expertise.

Qualifications (Prerequisites)

At least 5 to 9 years of business development experience in the financial industry, based on academic background:

University certificate and 9 years of experience.

Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience.

Master’s degree and 5 years of experience.

Experience in analyzing financial statements.

Experience in commercial credit.

A network of professional contacts among medium‑sized and large local businesses.
