Reserving & Valuation: Lead quarterly and annual reserve reviews, setting critical assumptions and interpreting results for senior stakeholders.
Modeling Excellence: Guide the development and validation of sophisticated rating and loss models using internal data and industry benchmarks.
Strategic Communication: Present complex actuarial findings and recommendations to management, facilitating discussions that impact business strategy.
Team Mentorship: Champion the career development of the team by reviewing peer work and coaching junior analysts.
Operational Innovation: Act as a "champion of change" by automating workflows and enhancing analytical frameworks using SQL, Python, or R.
Cross-Functional Influence: Collaborate with Underwriting, Finance, and IT to ensure actuarial insights are integrated into product development and financial reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS ACAS or FCAS
Proficiency in: SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
Confident communicator with the "executive presence" required to present to non-technical business partners.
