The salary range for this position is CAD $38.88/Hr. - CAD $51.08/Hr.

The hours of work, including start and stop times, days off, work area and work site may be subject to change consistent with operations requirements and applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement and statutes. Testing may be required. A criminal record check may be required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the financial and statistical reporting for PHC, preparing various financial, statistical and government reports on a period or as required basis.

Coordinate the transfer of financial and statistical data files, both manual and from feeder systems, to the General Ledger, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data.

Perform period‑end analysis and review of financial information such as revenue and expense analysis, monitoring deadlines, prioritizing tasks and diagnosing problems.

Coordinate the period‑end process with general accounting staff and finance staff to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness in the timely and accurate recording of financial and statistical data.

Manage data integrity by analyzing complex financial data and other data, identifying errors and taking corrective action(s). Ensure that proper audit trails are maintained at all times for files and data.

Perform system maintenance of the PeopleSoft Financial System by updating account and roll‑up trees as required.

Perform and review complex account reconciliations on a period basis, identifying and accounting for discrepancies and taking corrective actions.

Review period‑end processes and other internal accounting procedures, making recommendations to improve and streamline procedures and processes as required.





Prepare the year‑end audit working papers and draft audited financial statements with complete schedules and notes.

Provide work direction to designated staff and coordinate their work activities, as required.

Assist financial report users by responding to inquiries and providing user training as needed.

Participate in various working group meetings for the purpose of developing goals, policies, controls, procedures and problem solving.

Perform other related duties as required.

Onboarding and training period: first 2 months will be 100% on‑site; thereafter 2 to 3 days per week in office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and a Professional Accounting Designation such as CPA (CA, CGA, or CMA) or equivalent, plus four (4) years recent related experience in a large multidisciplinary environment involved with complex computerized systems.

Comprehensive knowledge of CICA handbook, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and MIS Guidelines.

Comprehensive process management and analytical skills.

Working knowledge of computerized financial systems and procedures.

Working knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Access), and PeopleSoft.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with others at all levels of the organization.

Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and work under pressure with minimal supervision.





Demonstrated collaborative problem solving and creative solution abilities.

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.

Benefits
Compensation: $76,111 to $100,009 annually (based on experience).
