Contribute to the well-being of patients at Haida Gwaii Hospital as a Casual Cook. This role focuses on cooking, food service, and maintaining kitchen standards within a healthcare facility.

In accordance with Northern Health’s mission and values, you will perform a variety of tasks related to cooking, food portioning, and sanitation. As a Cook, you will ensure that meals are prepared safely and served efficiently while also supervising Food Service Workers in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
• Cook and prepare a diverse range of food items
• Portion and serve meals to hospital patients
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
• Clean and maintain all cooking equipment and utensils




• Manage tasks assigned to Food Service Workers within the kitchen

Requirements:
• Experience in cooking and food service preferred
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food prep
• Solid multitasking abilities in a kitchen setting
• Positive leadership skills for task delegation
• Commitment to providing quality service aligned with Northern Health
