The University of Calgary invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor, focusing on teaching within the Faculty of Social Work. Covering 80% teaching and 20% service, candidates will teach and administer BSW and MSW courses while engaging in curriculum support and community service.
A solid understanding of social work practices, including diverse theories and methodologies, will be essential for fostering student success. Key Responsibilities:
Teach and manage graduate and undergraduate social work courses
Offer student advising and curriculum enhancement
Engage in scholarly research within the field
Support service commitments within the faculty
Integrate equity and diversity principles in teaching practices Requirements:
Doctorate in social work or relevant field
At least five years of full time social work experience
Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
Leadership in social work organizations
Residence in Alberta is required Contribute to advancing social work education at the University of Calgary.
