Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager to lead our team in delivering excellent and consistent service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As the Kitchen Manager, you will oversee kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure that all food preparation meets our cafe standards.

Responsibilities

- Supervise daily kitchen operations and store staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Oversee and partake in food preparation processes, ensuring quality and consistency in all food served.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in processes, food handling, and safety procedures and all systems.
- Collaborate with the team on feature planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimizing waste.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with excellent customer service skills.
- Maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.




- Control costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation; minimising waste; ensuring high quality preparation.
- Maximize kitchen profitability by ensuring portion controls are correct, monitor accuracy of charges.
- Keep staff up to date on all duties, tasks, updates and communication
- Open and close premises as required

Qualifications

- Proven experience in restaurant/cafe management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order management and inventory tracking.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to address concerns effectively.
- Experience in food preparation and cooking techniques, with a passion for culinary arts.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $18.75 per hour
