Substitute Teachers and Part-Time and Full-Time Positions
We are looking for committed and caring individuals who believe they can really make a difference in a student's life. They will demonstrate honesty, respect, and integrity in their work with students, families, and colleagues, and will be a curious learner for life as a teacher in Prairie Spirit School Division.
Prairie Spirit School Division invites applications for full time and part-time teaching positions as well as for our substitute teacher list. Successful candidates will be required to teach students in levels ranging from Prekindergarten to Grade 12. Teachers who submit an application will also be considered for approval for our substitute list.
Prairie Spirit School Division is the largest rural school division in Saskatchewan, with over 11,500 students and 45 schools located in 28 communities surrounding the city of Saskatoon, including three First Nations and nine Hutterian communities. Prairie Spirit has a dedicated team of professional and support staff serving Prekindergarten to Grade 12 students.
Teachers work in conjunction with our dedicated team of professional and support staff to create a positive learning environment as part of our mission to inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Preference will be given to teachers who:
- Have training or experience in the teaching areas of need;
- Have training or experience with blended learning approaches;
- Are committed to responsive curriculum and instruction;
- Are committed to fair and purposeful assessment;
- Are committed to success for all learners through inclusive and effective practices.
- Have a commitment to Truth and Reconciliation and culturally responsive practice;
- Have an understanding and commitment to using learning strategies which engage all learners; and who
- Show a commitment to relationships and mentoring of students.
