Join Ecotrust Canada as a part-time Dockside Monitor in Gold River, BC, starting May 2026. Help us ensure sustainable fisheries while collecting catch data and supporting local communities.

This seasonal role runs from May to October, focusing on accurate data collection for the T’aaq-wiihak fishery. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication, organizational skills, and multitasking abilities. Successful applicants will complete mandatory training and receive a stipend during training sessions held mid-May.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and accurately record catch data daily
• Maintain professional working relationships at all times
• Utilize technology for data entry and reporting
• Ensure compliance with ecological and community guidelines
• Support team members in a dynamic environment

Requirements:
• Solid communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask and handle fast-paced duties
• Comfortable with technology and data entry systems
• Completion of a Criminal Record Check
• Cannot have commercial fishing affiliations
