Job Title: Web Developer (.NET)

Reports to: Senior Web Developer, Information Technology

Date: April 2026

Category: Full Time - Contract

Location: 1271 Tapscott Road. Currently Hybrid

Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000

Position Overview
Merrithew’s digital platforms play a critical role in educating the industry, engaging customers, and supporting partners globally. The Intermediate Web Developer (.NET) contributes directly to the development, enhancement, and ongoing support of these platforms, with a primary focus on .NET‑based web applications, integrations, and related systems.

This role is a blend of backend and frontend development, production support, and systems integration. The successful candidate will work across multiple business‑critical platforms, contributing to both ongoing maintenance and the modernization of Merrithew’s digital ecosystem.

You will collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable solutions, while helping improve system performance, integration, and overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Enhancement

Design, develop, and maintain web applications, websites, and related digital solutions

Contribute to backend development including application logic, APIs, and system integrations

Support frontend enhancements across web platforms and applications

Build and enhance integrations between web platforms and business systems such as CRM, EMS, financial, and payment systems

Deliver high‑quality, reliable features aligned with development standards and best practices





Support & Operations

Investigate, prioritize, and resolve production issues and support tickets in a timely manner

Provide ongoing troubleshooting, maintenance, and support for web platforms and related systems

Identify, track, and resolve technical issues, escalating when appropriate

Data & Integration

Write and update SQL queries to support troubleshooting, reporting, and enhancements

Support minor database schema updates where required

Ensure data integrity and reliability across integrated systems

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Contribute to development projects and ensure timely delivery of assigned work

Identify and implement improvements that increase efficiency, reduce redundancy, and enhance system reliability

Support ongoing system modernization and digital transformation initiatives

Contribute to a collaborative, team‑oriented environment

Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

Core Requirements

Minimum 3 years of web development experience

Minimum 3 years of .NET development experience, including C#, ASP.NET, and Web API

Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), including writing and updating SQL queries

Experience developing and supporting RESTful APIs and system integrations

Strong understanding of responsive design, cross‑browser compatibility, and modern web standards

Frontend Development

Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript

Experience working with frontend frameworks and libraries; exposure to React, TypeScript, and modern practices is an asset

Familiarity with legacy frameworks and libraries such as jQuery, Kendo UI, and Foundation is an asset

Data, Integration & Platforms

Experience integrating web platforms with business systems (CRM, financial, payment, or similar)

Experience with third‑party integrations, including payment gateways,



is an asset

Familiarity with ASP.NET‑based CMS platforms; experience with Sitefinity and Conligo is an asset

Experience with platforms such as WordPress and Squarespace is an asset

Tools & Technologies

Experience with source control and code management tools such as Git; familiarity with Team Foundation Server is an asset

Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and related tools is an asset

Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) is an asset

Security & Compliance

Understanding of secure coding practices

Familiarity with PCI DSS and web accessibility standards (AODA) is an asset

Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Robust communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
