About The Job Role : The Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) provides comprehensive sexual assault/forensic nursing care to patients triaged to the Sexual Assault Forensic Examination (SAFE) program.
Responsibilities




Provide care through a trauma- and violence-informed lens, using evidence-informed practice.
Ensure patients and their support systems are supported in navigating the health care system and accessing community supports.
Complete a comprehensive assessment of the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural and spiritual needs of the client.
Determine client status and responses to actual or potential health problems.
Casual Opportunity : This is a casual position. Casual employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0–37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis. Shifts of work will be on call as needed.
About this location/unit Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) serves as a vital hub for health care in Williams Lake and the surrounding area, offering emergency care, surgical procedures, specialized treatments, laboratory services, diagnostic imaging, and ongoing public health support. CMH covers a wide catchment area and serves a significant Indigenous population. A three-year redevelopment plan aims to expand the facility, including a new emergency department, and enhances access to health care for the community.
