About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Supply Chain Coordinator is a hands-on role spanning purchasing, logistics, and physical product quality control. You will help keep product moving efficiently — placing and managing purchase orders, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and inspecting incoming goods to ensure they meet Eden's quality standards before they reach our customers. This role works closely with our Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams, and is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and being close to the product.
Responsibilities and Duties
Purchasing & Procurement
- Prepare, place, and track purchase orders with domestic and overseas suppliers, following up to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate pricing, lead-time, and supplier information in our systems.
- Build and maintain robust supplier relationships; help negotiate pricing and delivery timelines.
- Support the sourcing and onboarding of new suppliers and identify alternate sources for existing products.
- Monitor inventory levels and help forecast demand to keep stock at the right levels and minimize shortages or overstock.
Logistics & Shipping
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with freight and logistics partners, including routing and scheduling.
- Prepare and review shipping and import documentation and support customs and import requirements.
- Ensure products are packaged appropriately for shipping and storage.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, or other logistical issues.
Quality Control
- Inspect and test incoming product against Eden's specifications.
- Identify defects, deviations, or damage, and work with suppliers and internal teams on corrective action.
- Work with third parties on quality control at a factory level.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and product specifications.
- Assist in developing and improving quality control procedures and standards.
Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze product sales and purchasing data to identify trends, inform purchasing decisions, and support demand forecasting.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards to track purchasing, inventory, supplier performance, and product movement.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate routine processes and reporting, including using AI tools.
General
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to support product launches and day-to-day operations.
- Help maintain accurate documentation and reporting on purchasing, inventory, and quality activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain / Logistics, Human Ecology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, supply chain, or a related role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze product sales and purchasing information and turn it into actionable insights.
- An analytical, problem-solving mindset — methodical, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel).
Considered an Asset
- Previous wholesale or bulk purchasing experience.
- Textile, apparel, or soft-goods product knowledge.
- Experience with demand planning and forecasting tools (e.g., Netstock).
- Experience working within an ERP system.
- Experience or familiarity using AI tools for process and report automation.
- Experience with import/export documentation and freight coordination.
