Overview
Our client, a leading organization, is seeking a Senior AV / Broadcast Operations Lead for a contract role. This is an onsite role, requiring regular in-person presence to support studio, broadcast, and live production operations. The role is highly visible and executive-facing, working closely with production, AV, and broadcast leadership to deliver high-quality live and recorded content.

Responsibilities

Lead studio AV operations for live broadcasts, podcasts, and video productions, including live switcher operation.

Execute real-time video transitions, graphics, and cues during live productions.

Provide technical guidance and support to AV technicians and production staff.

Maintain broadcast-quality standards across all audio and video outputs.

Troubleshoot AV systems, signal flow, and equipment issues in real time.

Coordinate with building AV and facilities teams to resolve technical challenges.

Support both live and recorded events, including virtual and hybrid productions.

Lead broadcasts for key spokespeople across platforms such as BNN, MS Teams, and Zoom.

Recommend and implement best practices for studio, broadcast, and AV production workflows.

Collaborate closely with Production, AV, and Broadcast leadership to ensure seamless delivery.

Must-Have Requirements





8+ years of experience in studio AV, broadcast operations, or live production environments.

Hands-on experience operating live video switchers, including real-time transitions, graphics, and cue execution.

Strong proficiency with audio mixing boards, studio lighting, camera operation, and control room workflows.

Experience supporting virtual and hybrid productions (Zoom, MS Teams) with live troubleshooting.

Robust AV/IT knowledge with deep understanding of signal flow and broadcast systems.

Proven ability to maintain broadcast-quality standards in high-pressure, live environments.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including executive-facing support.

Nice-to-Have

Experience with video editing and post-production tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro).

Photography experience for events or social media content.

Digital content creation and storytelling experience.

Bilingual (English/French).

Event coordination experience.

Experience mentoring, training, or coaching junior staff.
