Be a vital part of youth development as a part-time Youth Mentor in London. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide support to youth programs while building essential life skills.
In this regular position, you will work 22.5 hours weekly within the Early Childhood, School-Age, and Adolescent Programs. Collaborating within Horizons and across Family and Community Services, you will help youth transition into adulthood by engaging in both virtual and in-person activities. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support youth services both in-person and online
• Develop accessible resources for youth with disabilities
• Facilitate skills-building events for social engagement
• Co-lead youth advisory councils and gather feedback
• Assist in planning and administrative tasks
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year post-secondary education related to youth services
• Lived experience with a disability
• Solution Focused Coaching skills
• Robust communication abilities
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
Deliver peer mentoring and advocacy, fostering youth engagement and growth in London.
