The Fort Learning Community is a centre supporting neurodivergent children and their caregivers in Courtenay, BC.
The Support Facilitator provides 1:1 and small-group support to children participating in programs at The Fort Learning Community. The role focuses on building relationships, supporting regulation, promoting inclusion, and helping children participate meaningfully in programming.
The Support Facilitator will:
- Provide 1:1 or small-group support as assigned.
- Foster positive relationships with children and families.
- Support emotional regulation using co-regulation and trauma-informed practices.
- Assist children in participating successfully within group programming.
- Support transitions.
- Promote inclusion and belonging for every child.
- Maintain a protected and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate respectfully with Program Facilitators and other team members.
- Communicate observations professionally and objectively.
- Follow behaviour support and safety plans.
- Assist with room set-up, cleaning, organization, and closing duties.
- Participate in team meetings and required training.
Employees must maintain:
- Valid Criminal Record Check
P/T Hours Available: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 3:00-5:00
Friday - 3:00 - 8:00
Saturday - 10:00-2:00, 4:00-7:30
Casual/On-Call Position also available.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
