Responsibilities

- Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with meticulous attention to detail and presentation.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all work areas.
- Source fresh ingredients and ensure proper storage to uphold quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours.
- Educate guests about different types of sushi and ingredients, enhancing their dining experience.
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency across all dishes.




- Assist in menu development by suggesting innovative sushi creations and seasonal specials.

Qualifications

- Proven experience working as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
- Robust knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling.
- Experience working with children or teaching culinary skills is a plus, especially for educational programs or workshops.
- Background in cooking, early childhood education, or classroom experience is desirable for roles involving tutoring or teaching young learners about Japanese cuisine.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Passion for culinary arts with a focus on authentic Japanese cuisine.
